What is to be done?
Many conservatives in the West still indulge in the mistaken idea that the fundamental transformation of our civilisation, which is only just beginning, can still be halted or even reverted by traditional political instruments. It would suffice for Parliament and government, they claim, to return to moderately conservative opinions for some years to put everything alright again.
